Men Can't Dance

Mention ballroom dancing to any male and his first reaction will be “Oh, I can’t dance” and his second response will be “especially ballroom”! Well, I’m here to tell you those sentiments have been expressed by every male who graces the dance floor.

Ask any male who's been courageous enough to give it a try and he’ll tell you he never realized he’d be dancing his socks off and enjoy something so much.

In my 10+ years as a ballroom dancer, I’ve assisted a lot of gentleman in learning to dance. They’ve thanked me multiple times, but never more then when they’re leading ladies of every age across the floor and loving it! Ballroom dancing is one of the greatest social functions for making new friends or meeting that special person.

So ladies, the next time you approach a man whose resistant to learn, remind him there’s not a better ‘chick magnet’ then a man who can dance.

Ballroom Dancing Is For Everyone

East and West Coast Swing, Country 2-Step, Rhumba, Waltz, Salsa, Mumbo and Jive, these are only a few of the dances you’ll find in today's ballroom dancing. Depending on the occasion, you’ll see blue jeans as well as ball gowns while dancing to a wide spectrum of music from Pop Rock to the Oldies.

If you think it’s only your grandma’s style of dance, you are so wrong! Your grandma may be out there swaying to the music, but there are a large number of 20 – 40 year olds who are leading the way onto the dance floor. Young and old alike are experiencing a renewed dance movement and they’re doing it together.

Ballroom dancing is not only an inexpensive way to socialize, but the benefits of it being fun exercise and a good way to make friends are priceless. For under $10 a person, you can’t find a more enjoyable evening.

Springfield is fortunate to have a variety of times and places open to the public for both single persons and couples to dance. If you desire lessons, there are professional and amateur instructors with prices ranging from $40 an hour to $5 per class. It all depends on the level of dancing you want to reach whether competitive or just for fun.

This is your open invitation to join us at Queen City Dance Club for an evening we guarantee you’ll enjoy. Check ‘dance information’ for details on location and time. See you at the Club!
